Jon Marlow

My name is Jon. I am 34 from Shropshire, UK. It was not until my late teens that my family and I learnt about Aspergers. By then school, college and even my home life had left me feeling very anxious. Nowadays, as an adult, I find going out with my camera gives me quiet time to stop and see things other people may not notice.

Its satisfying taking lots of pictures in order to get the 'right one'. In the future I would like to exhibit some of my photographs I would definitely recommend taking a walk, to relax and using a mobile you can take great photographs.

I wish to raise awareness about Autism and Dyslexia with AMHA using my skills in Photography.

I could start with the obvious and say I always felt different from everyone else and how I got diagnosed and my journey there but this is not what this is about. This is about my life for the past year and perhaps some advice about how to deal with unhealthy environments. For context my conditions include ASD, tourettes syndrom...

It’s half 3 on a cold Wednesday morning and I’m typing this up as I can’t sleep as my head is all over the place right now.

See I’m the girl who can’t take a phone call without shaking like a leaf. I can’t speak on the phone if I don’t personally know you. I used to be able to phone any random number and talk for hours. Funny how...

Maintaining a healthy routine can be an essential aspect of daily living when on the Autistic Spectrum, it can lead to stability and make life more bearable. Although it can also make life very complicated and build very big walls that can limit what someone is able to cope with. What many don’t understand is why it’s so importa...
